While the Masters is a tradition unlike any other, the 2021 Zurich Classic is an event unlike any other. It is the only team event on the PGA Tour, which means the best players in the world can be hamstrung by having weak partners. The 2021 Zurich Classic tees off on Thursday from TPC Louisiana and many of the top players in the world will be on hand including Jon Rahm, Collin Morikawa and Xander Schauffele. But you won't be picking just those players, as you'll be selecting their respective teams for PGA DFS lineups, which means your strategy may be a bit different for the Zurich Classic 2021.

Do you go with the team of Rahm and Ryan Palmer or roll the dice with Morikawa and Matthew Wolff for your 2021 Zurich Classic PGA DFS picks? And who else should you be targeting as part of your PGA DFS strategy? Before you enter any PGA DFS tournaments or cash games for the 2021 Zurich Classic, you'll want to see the top PGA DFS picks and daily fantasy golf advice from SportsLine's Mike McClure.

McClure is a DFS pro with nearly $2 million in career winnings, and he's been red-hot on his PGA Tour picks this season. McClure is also a predictive data engineer at SportsLine who uses a powerful prediction model that simulates every tournament 10,000 times, taking factors like statistical trends, past results and current form into account. This allows him to find the best PGA DFS values and create optimal lineups that he shares only over at SportsLine. They're a must-see for any PGA DFS player.

Last week at the RBC Heritage, McClure listed Webb Simpson among his top PGA DFS picks. The result: Simpson secured a top-10 finish, returning tournament-winning value at an extremely affordable price. Anybody who had him in their lineups was well on the way to a profitable weekend.

In addition, McClure's model is up over $10,000 on its best bets since the restart, nailing tournament after tournament. This is the same model that has nailed a whopping six majors entering the weekend. Anyone who has followed it has seen massive returns.

Now, McClure has set his sights on the 2021 Zurich Classic and revealed his optimal PGA DFS advice, strategy and player pool. Head to SportsLine now to see his top daily fantasy golf picks for the 2021 Zurich Classic.

Top 2021 Zurich Classic PGA DFS picks

One of McClure's top PGA DFS picks for the Zurich Classic 2021: the team of Matthew NeSmith and Chase Seiffert. Both will be making their debuts at TPC Louisiana but have great upside and have impressed this season. NeSmith has six top-25 finishes and excels in approaching the green situations. He ranks second on the PGA Tour in greens in regulation percentage and seventh in strokes gained: approach the green.

Seiffert has four top-20 finishes over his last eight events including tying for third at last month's Honda Classic, his best-ever finish on tour. He's shown the ability to make the best out of bad situations which is a tool that will come in handy at a course neither he nor NeSmith has played before. Seiffert ranks among the top 10 on the PGA Tour in both scrambling from the rough and scrambling from over 30 yards, which will be particularly critical during the alternate-shot format.

McClure's optimal PGA DFS strategy also has him high on the team of Xander Schauffele and Patrick Cantlay. They have a strong connection already, having been paired for all four team sessions at the 2019 Presidents Cup, and that experience together should help them at the 2021 Zurich Classic. They are also the only team in the tournament where both players rank inside the top 10 as Schauffele is the World No. 5 while Cantlay is the World No. 10.

Schauffele has done everything except win thus far in the 2020-21 PGA Tour season as he has six top-five finishes in 12 events. He ranks second on tour in total strokes gained, so it seems just to be a matter of time until he breaks through for his first win like what Cantlay got back in October. In addition to his victory at the Zozo Championship, Cantlay has a runner-up and a third-place finish this season and he has more top-10 finishes (four) than missed cuts (three). He also ranks in the top 10 in total strokes gained so the pairing with Schauffele plays to both of their strengths.
